Melusine: Entry 11
Samuel has returned to me just as the crowns have. As we spend our time on the grassy hill, I present him with his crown and what it means. He informs me of the trickery which has befallen him and the child which is his, ours, yet guises as the child of another. I hid him within the embrace of my arms under the shield of my wings as he wept for the son who would not know him as father. I shielded him from seeing the tears falling from my eyes.
